Remote learning guidance - 05th February 2024

As many of you will be aware we have been alerted to a gas leak on our South Site.  We have engineers here at the school and due to the nature of the leak they have had to turn the mains gas supply off to South Site.  This means that we will have no heating or hot water supply on South Site, meaning that the site cannot safely open.  As a result we are having to close South Site to all staff and students for the 5th of February.

Students in Years 7-9 will need to remain at home for the 5th of February and we will move to online learning.  North Site is unaffected and all students in Years 10-13 will be in school as usual.

During the day of the partial school closure students in years 7, 8 and 9 should complete the work below.

The online lessons have been drawn from Oak National resources and will be connected directly to the content that they are studying for their courses. Students should watch the video and complete any tasks either on paper or digitally.

The lessons should take students around 45 minutes to complete and they should then have a 15 minute break from their screen before completing work for the next lesson on their normal timetable. We would encourage students to spend no longer than this on the work and only attempt the online lessons once their HW is up to date.

Full details of all the work are in the documents below and will be emailed to students directly
